Cassandra Norville,
soprano, is delighted
to return to RO this summer for the Summer Pops
Concerts. A Billings native, Cassandra was last seen
with RO as Mimi in Puccini’s La bohème,
Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and has performed
as a featured soloist in all of the past “Opera
Stars” concerts. While having charmed opera
audiences worldwide as Lucia, Pamina, Micaëla, Nedda,
Violetta, Manon, Rosalinda, Sophie, Juliette,
Musetta, Queen of the Night, Adele, Susanna, and
Lauretta, she has most recently delved further into
the crossover repertoire of musical theatre. This
past Spring Ms. Norville captivated Phoenix
audiences for six weeks as Lucy Harris in Wildhorn’s
gothic musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde, while
last season she was nominated for an Arizona Theatre
Award of Excellence for her portrayal of Lilli
Vanessi in Arizona Broadway Theatre’s production of
Kiss Me Kate. Cassandra has performed with
Opera Idaho, Sun Valley Opera, Opera Colorado,
Central City Opera, Prism Opera, Cambridge Lieder
and Opera Society, Ohio Light Opera, and
Intermountain Opera. Internationally, she has been
seen and heard in Germany, Austria, Ireland,
Scotland, Poland, and Hungary. Cassandra now resides
in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Kiel and young
sons, Kieran(4) and Tristan(2) where she performs
daily as the Artistic Producer and Owner of Arizona
Broadway Theatre, which will celebrate its Fourth
Season opening in October of 2008.
